eTrust Content Inspection Management Tools - Control Center
The Control Center operates as a central
exchange facility. It receives changes to policy plans from the Policy
Manager and data regarding objects that have been analyzed at the Gateways.
The Control Center has a generic database attached to it, which stores the
security plans, audit records and system parameters.

The Control Center User
Interface displays the following information:
 | The latest objects analyzed at the
Gateway, and their access status.
|
 | The status, name and type of all
gateways (active or inactive).
|
 | Current system administration
activities, including the names of the Administrators using eTrust
Content Inspection, the components used, and the time the activity
was initiated. |

 | Object
Information List
The Object Information List can
display the following details for all HTTP objects downloaded and
analyzed at a Gateway:
 | Client Name
The Client Name associated
with the workstation IP (i.e. workstation that requested the
download), as entered in the Policy Manager.
(In the example above - Client Name is 207.232.2.208)

 | Object Name
The URL address, path and
filename of the object analyzed. (Above - Object Name is
javaboutique.internet.com/IconMenus/iimMSIE.jar:occolor.class)
|
 | Status
This field indicates whether the
object was passed (i.e. executed), rejected (i.e. blocked and
therefore not executed), or audited (i.e. logged in the Audit Viewer
database). (Above - Eighth Object was both rejected
and audited.)

 | Date and Time
This field displays the date and time when the object was analyzed
at the Gateway. (Above - First Object was analyzed on 11/29/00 and the time was
10:03:13 AM)

 | Gateways
Status List
The Gateway Status List displays
the following details regarding the Gateways that are set up in the
security plan by the Policy Manager:
 | Name
The name of the Gateway as
entered in the security plan. You may look up the corresponding
IP address and location in the Gateway folder in the Policy
Manager. (Above - Internet Gateway)

 | Status
This field indicates whether
each of the eTrust Content Inspection Gateways is active or not.
(Above - Service (NSP) Active, Terminal Active)
|
 | Date and Time
The date and time of the last
log-on to the Gateway. (Above - 5/18/2000 12:12:11 PM)

 | Systems
Administration Activities List
This list displays the following
details regarding all eTrust Content Inspection operators logged on
to the eTrust Content Inspection software (NOT all the
organization's users logged on to workstations).
 | Name
The name of the operator as entered in the Policy Manger. (Above
- Admin)
|
 | Connection
This field indicates to which eTrust Content Inspection
component the operator is logged on to. (Above - Policy)
|
 | Date and
Time
This field indicates the date and time that the operator logged
on to the indicated component. (Above - 5/18/2000 11:52:11 AM)
