eTrust Content Inspection Management Level

The Management Level is comprised of the Control Center, the Policy Manager and the Audit Viewer:

Control Center The Control Center operates as a central exchange facility. It receives changes to policy plans from the Policy Manager and data regarding objects analyzed by the Gateways. The Control Center has a Generic database attached to it, which stores the security plans, audit records and system parameters. Policy Manager The Policy Manager provides a user-friendly interface for setting up security Plans (policy) for the entire organization from one central location. The Policy Manager also provides tools for modifying the policy and for distributing the policy to all the Gateways in the organization. Audit Viewer The Audit Viewer provides an activity log, displaying all audited events and audited security collisions. This log provides the administrator with a permanent record of all activities in the security system, which may be used to control overall security in the organization.
