eTrust Content Inspection Management Tools - Policy Manager

The Policy Manager provides a user-friendly interface for setting up security plans (policy) for the entire organization from one central location. The Policy Manager also provides tools for the modification of this security policy and for distributing a new or amended security policy to all Gateways in the organization. This ensures that all Gateways are enforcing the most up-to-date version of the organization's security policy at all times.

The Policy Manager User Interface has 3 display areas and 3 toolbars:

Display Areas Object Tree Display Lists the branches and object folders. (In the example above - Shown is the Tree for Security Plans, which includes a Generic Plan, which has Clients, Servers, Events and Gateways) Object Properties Pane Properties of the selected Object. (Above - The selected Object is Generic Plan and it's Details include Name, Type, Creation Date and Modification Date) Object Content Pane List of objects, which are contained within the selected folder. (Above - Lower right hand pane which contains Gateways, Clients, Servers and Events)

Toolbars Main Toolbar Contains icons which offer shortcuts to several of the menu options. (Above - Horizontal Toolbar for the Window) Tree viewing Toolbar  Contains an icon for each section of the object tree. (Above - Vertical Toolbar on the Default Control Pane) Object Content Pane Toolbar Selects the format in which the objects will be displayed in the lower-right hand pane ( Above - Large small icons - also small icons, in a list, with details, or in columns).
