eTrust Intrusion Detection Log View

The eTrust Intrusion Detection Log View is designed to allow you to target a specific archive database and subsequently browse and view the details of usage over an extended period of time. It allows the consolidation of multiple eTrust Intrusion Detection's session information in a relational database. The system includes the database front end and distributed collection components that are invoked by events in eTrust Intrusion Detection based on eTrust Intrusion Detection rules.

It enables eTrust Intrusion Detection to set a rule to log the session data in a collection repository (archive) and then allows easy access for retrieval of the session data at a later stage. This system consists of 3 main components:

bullet

The eTrust Intrusion Detection Log View Data Client, which collects the data and transfers it to the archive.

bullet

The eTrust Intrusion Detection Log View Data Server component that controls the archived data on the same or a different computer.

bullet

The eTrust Intrusion Detection Log Database browser that provides the user with an interface for viewing the archived logs.

After installing the software and defining the archive location, the user defines a rule in eTrust Intrusion Detection that logs the session data in an archive for later retrieval.
