eTrust Intrusion Detection’s reports provide detailed information on specific activities on the network and on network usage of specific protocols - for the overall network, individual users or groups of users. The "drill-down" feature allows you to view details about a specific item in a report. A standalone report viewer application is available for viewing of reports on machines where eTrust Intrusion Detection is not installed.

Not only does eTrust Intrusion Detection present you with a wide range of reports, it also allows you to choose whether the reports should contain current or historical data, which stations should be included in the reports and how the data in the reports should be sorted. Furthermore, eTrust Intrusion Detection allows you to schedule generation of reports at any hour of the day, week or month with a few mouse-clicks. This means that although you are not present in the office, you can still get an idea of the network activities that took place in your absence. After generation, reports can be viewed on screen, printed to the default printer, sent as Email or saved to disk using several formats. A description of the report types follows:

Summary Reports
This category includes reports summarizing activity on the network by client and protocol.

Common Reports
This category includes general reports, reports over time and reports reflecting network usage and security violations. This category also includes a billing report, which represents network activity and usage in monetary values.

Web Surfing Reports
This category includes reports on Web activity, reports about URL access and reports about URL categories.

Protocol Traffic Reports
Each group of protocols has its own set of reports showing the volume of network traffic over a certain period of time and the most active users.

Events Reports
This group includes reports about logged and blocked events.

Definition Reports
This group of reports includes reports about program definitions, e.g. reports on network objects, actions and rule types.
